Read for Meaning;
Writers of Influence
In this course you will be
reading a variety of literature largely based around
the work of Writers of Influence. You may, for
example, read stories, speeches and articles to get
a general understanding of the writers’ work. You
will then have the opportunity to examine the work
more closely to analyse the writers’ skills and to
look at the effects they are trying to create.
The course will develop your reading skills and will
also help you to prepare for the National Test in
Literacy at Level 2.
