Our Access to Higher Education
Diploma gives you a second chance if you missed out on education
for whatever reason.
After the course 60% of students
go straight to university, others change career and all describe
Fircroft as a life-changing experience.
Unlike other courses, our Access course doesn’t leave you in
debt. All students get a grant which doesn’t have to be repaid,
parents can get their child-care costs covered and some will
also be eligible for an Adult Learning Grant.
The course is modular which means you can influence the
content
of your course. The main focus is Social
Sciences/Humanities.
Delivery
is full-time from the end of September to May. Tutors encourage
active learning, and work in class is backed up by workshops,
tasks and tutorials.
Students age from 20 to 70,
come from all over the UK and bring a wide variety of experience
and perspectives. What they have in common is a commitment to
learn.
