Funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), Talk English is a volunteer led project that offers free classes in English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) at Beginner level (Pre Entry/Entry 1) for people with low levels of English within the local area.

We are currently running courses and activities around Birmingham, see below for our latest timetable. Courses and activities will run until March 2018.

Some of the local community organisations we are currently working with to deliver this great learning opportunity are:

  1. Muslim Women’s Network
  2. Anawim
  3. Muath Trust
  4. Piers Road New Communities Association Centre
  5. Birmingham Vineyard Church

There are several ways you can get involved with the project:

  1. Volunteer with us - you can find out about volunteer roles still available here
  2. Partner with us - if you wish to host a Talk English activity or have service users who would benefit from this we would love to hear from you!
