Each week delivery =

7 hours of guided learning (delivery)

Learners will be expected to be able to contribute approximately x3 hours personal study time each week

Eating Disorders

(x1 credit) – define eating disorders and understand the main types of disorder, signs and symptoms 

Values & Principles of Social Care

(x1 credit)

Understand what drives social care e.g. compassion, care and who provides health & social care in the UK 

Physical & Psychological Needs of Children

(x1 credit)

Understand the essential needs and requirements of children to enable children to thrive physically and psychologically and what happens when needs are not met

Assessment Methods

Each unit will have its own assignment brief which will clearly set out tasks which relate to the subject area.

This may include:

Working through a case study

Creating a presentation

Writing a report

Entry requirements 
  • Be able to work at a level one
  • Receive and retain information
  • Produce written material and contribute to discussions to get the most out of this learning experience
  • No formal qualifications required

You will also need to have basic IT skills, access to a computer and WiFi along with a webcam, microphone and speaker installed within, or attached, to your computer to allow interaction during the virtual lessons.
