Whether you are work based, classroom based or someone who has their own private provision, this course is for you.

You will study one core unit: Preparing to support learning

This unit includes a number of learning outcomes covering the following:

Understanding learning support practice in lifelong learning: contexts such as education and the workplace within education and training contexts.  We will cover a number of contexts such as one to one, group, classroom based, work based, distance/virtual delivery.

Understand the values and principles of inclusive learning support: in terms of key values, principles and practices. In addition, you will cover key skills such as literacy, numeracy and IT whilst exploring inclusive learning.

Understand how to support learning: This is where you actually get to practice those skills by using planning, delivery, assessment and review of learning in terms of individual needs of learners.  This outcome also allows you to look at using resources and how supporting learning contributes to an area of study or workplace training.
