About the Course
The course aims to elevate the knowledge and skills of green and sustainable issues and solutions within community projects.
We will cover topics such as:
- The 15 Green Skills and how these can be embraced at and individual and community level.
- The Changemaker model and how to influence change in a community/group
- Introducing donut economics/circular economy thinking to a project
- Understanding and exploring sustainability and ‘green’ terminology
- Utilising nature and the outdoors in community projects for food growing, wellbeing, biodiversity, arts & crafts
- Circular food systems
- An individual research project to explore a specific relevant topic or project idea
The course consists of 2 residential weekends covering the classroom learning (there will also be some use of outdoor space and practical activities throughout these), and 2 non-residential practical days in our grounds.
Entry Requirements
You must be working at Level 1 Literacy, or above.
