Level

Level 2

How do we learn? What are the best ways of designing learning and training opportunities for adults in your area of practice? This course is a chance to think about how to prepare and run a training session. Throughout the course, we will think about what makes learning effective, what skills are needed as a trainer of other adults, and how to design training activities and resources that suit your area of work and expertise.

We will share knowledge and good practice relating to adult learning, thinking about the design of a training session from start to finish. We will identify the features of effective training and consider how to develop skills to deliver high standards of training.

At the end of this course you will be able to design, plan and deliver your own training sessions.

During this course, you will:

  • Understand how learning happens
  • Understand how to plan an effective training session
  • Understand how to design an effective training resource
  • Understand skills required to deliver training effectively
