Our Courses Find Courses Psychology and Criminology Criminology The study of crime and deviance holds a major interest for many people interested in the causes of crime and its impact on individuals and communities. This course will give students a deeper understanding of what constitutes a crime and deviance & some of the key explanations which seek to understand the root cause of criminal behaviour. Residential Dates Level 2 9th April 2021 - 11th April 2021 (3 Days- 2 Nights) Apply Level 1 24th May 2021 - 26th May 2021 (3 Days- 2 Nights) Apply Level 1 18th June 2021 - 20th June 2021 (3 Days- 2 Nights) Apply Level Level 1 and 2 Learning Outcomes Students will engage in research examining the difference between psychopaths and sociopaths, and how such categories adapt. We will also examine the relationship between new technologies and how these have resulted in new types of crime emerging.
