When is the college reopening?

The college is planning to open on Monday 7th September 2020, depending on government guidelines at the time.

After COVID-19, will the college be a safe place to study and stay?

We are working hard to put the latest recommended health and safety measures in place to ensure all students have a great learning experience and are able to focus on their studies. We aim for the college to always be a welcoming place and there will be clear guidelines to help everyone work and learn together in a safe and clean environment.

Please keep looking at the website to find out more about the new health and safety measures we will be introducing when we re-open.

I haven’t been to the college before, what can I expect?

Fircroft College is known for its friendly and supportive environment. On your first day, even if you have been to the college before, you will be given an induction before the class starts where we will welcome you to the college, inform you about practicalities such as break times and meal times and go through health and safety considerations to ensure you have a great experience with us.

What are the fees?

Some of our courses are free and some include a fee structure. Fees for our courses are based on your financial circumstances which will be discussed with you and assessed by our Admissions team once you have applied for a course online.

Even if you have to pay fees, we do our best to ensure finance is not a barrier to learning and that our fees are reasonable.

Are meals and accommodation, if relevant, included?

Once we have assessed if the course is free to you or if you need to pay fees, all the accommodation and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as drinks at designated tea/coffee breaks, will be included and you will not need to pay extra for these things.

Are there some residential courses?

We will be running some residential courses from September onwards, but this will always depend on a number of factors post-COVID-19 that may be beyond our control. Please keep looking at our website for the latest updates about courses and the college.

Safety is a major concern for all staff, students and other visitors and we are working very hard to ensure the college is clean and safe according to government guidelines, by September 2020.
