Fircroft College of Adult Education is an award-winning residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged members of society. One hundred years on our mission of ‘social justice’ is more relevant than ever. The college is seeking to appoint a bank of Hourly Paid Tutors to complement and support our existing teaching team:

  • Personal Social Development Tutor
  • English/ESOL Tutor
  • Workplace Skills Tutor

The main duties will include planning and teaching on agreed courses and programmes. Short courses at the college run over two to three days, seven days per week, so this will include evening and potentially weekend teaching.  To be considered for this role you must have a recognised teaching qualification along with an appropriate degree; relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
