Who is this course for?

This Institute of Leadership and Management Level 2 course is designed to help you boost your performance as a team member and help you make the transition from working in a team to leading a team. This course is ideal if you have recently been promoted into your first supervisory/managerial job role. If you are already a practising team leader, it will help you be more effective and confident in your role. 

Entry Requirements 

  • A certificate of Level 1 English is to be provided on application or if you are unable to produce a certificate, you can take an entry test to have your level of English assessed.
  • You must have a computer and internet access at home along with a microphone and a camera installed. This course is blended meaning a combination of Residential and online learning.

    • Induction and coaching in the workplace - covering; understanding how to integrate new members in the team and how to coach individuals in the team

    Mandy Gutsell

    Mandy has 30 years experience of delivering a range of courses in Colleges, Community settings (Voluntary/Charities) and the Public Sector. She has managed her own business for the last 20 years offering coaching, therapy, supervision and training. Mandy is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider and an MHFA England Instructor member. Mandy’s personal philosophy in all her work encompasses the following; “The thoughts we have in our minds influence what comes out in our actions and words, creating the lives we live.” She supports people from a belief that everyone has the capacity to change no matter what their background. She aspires to accept everyone she works with for who they are with unconditional regard and believes that everyone deserves a chance.

    Carol Hartman 

    Carol is an experienced learning and development professional, team and events manager with twenty plus years, experience in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. She has experience of running her own consultancy, working with industry and grassroots leaders for organisational development. She is passionate about supporting others to fulfil their potential and excel beyond self-imposed or external limits. She currently teaches workplace, PSD and management skills at the college
