Who needs to do them?

• Everyone applying for English and Maths courses. A written assessment is also required for all English courses.
• Everyone applying for all other courses without recent relevant prior qualifications.

 

Why?

We want to ensure that you are placed on a course that is suitable for your level. If Fircroft College isn’t suitable for your learning needs at the moment, we can direct you to a more suitable education provider.

 

What will happen?

The answers you give will allow us as a college to support your learning needs. Please don’t be concerned about completing the initial assessments as your answers are the correct answers for where you currently are as a learner.

 

Ok, so what do I do?

There are two initial assessments to complete; one is LITERACY and one is NUMERACY.

If you are applying for English courses you will also be invited into the college to do a written assessment.

 

Please note, completing the initial assessments does not mean that you are automatically accepted onto courses here at Fircroft College.
