Our Courses Find Courses Introduction to ICT This course is for those students who want to understand Microsoft Office more and gain a clear overview of the key features of Excel, PowerPoint and Word. All students will be required to have a basic level of IT skills and it is particularly helpful to those who have already completed our IT for Complete Beginners course. This will enable students to begin to use Office more confidently in life or work or even study. Date and Times 30th October 2020 - 1st November 2020 Friday - Sunday Apply 20th November 2020 - 22nd November 2020 Friday - Sunday Apply Level level 1 Learning Outcomes This course covers the use of the Microsoft Office suite including: Word-processing software for inputting and editing text and fonts/text alignment/margins/saving to folders. Microsoft Excel is used to produce a spreadsheet inserting text and numerical data which is useful for general household accounts or budgeting, in general. Graphical representation is covered showing the creation of pie, line and bar/column charts and Microsoft PowerPoint gives the student the opportunity to produce a set of presentation slides by creating text areas/text frames, applying background themes and inserting graphics/images and videos. Entry Requirements You must have very basic IT skills, ideal for those who have completed the IT for Complete Beginners You will need to have a webcam, microphone and speaker installed within, or attached, to your computer to allow interaction during the online lessons. Progression Learners can progress onto level 2 Office courses or more specific courses depending on the area of progression e.g. could go from this to Access IT prep course.
