Residential at the college 

Many organisations recruit volunteers to support and enhance the work they do. If your organisation has volunteers then this course is a must. You may be supervising, managing or working closely with volunteers and need to understand how to get the best from them whilst supporting them in their roles. This course will cover the basics of the volunteer role and contribution to the organisation and their relationship with other staff.

Entry Requirements 

You must be working at a level 1 in literacy and in employment or looking to gain work.

  • Why people volunteer
  • The value, benefits and advantages volunteers bring to the organisation
  • How to work with and support volunteers – role clarity and role description
  • Key legislation affecting good practice in working with volunteers.
