We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged and excluded members of society. We are looking to appoint a Student Engagement Manager to lead our student support team and improve levels of support available to learners at the college. The key purpose of the role is to lead and manage progressive and inclusive student support and engagement service shaped by student feedback. The successful person will need to create a culture where all student voices are empowered, listened too, acted on appropriately and matter in the college; a culture of empowerment and improvement which is student centred and personal, allowing students to become as independent as possible in their learning. Other key areas include developing processes to accurately report learning support provided to maximise the learning support claim and to manage the collection of high-quality data/record keeping capture, recording and evaluating support needs and the effectiveness of the support provided. To be considered for this role you must have experience of dealing with a diverse range of people with different requirements, knowledge and experience of supporting a range of learning needs and difficulties and experience of successfully implementing a range of learning support strategies. You must have a good understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion, must have led on student voice projects and have a management qualification at level 4 or above.
