Maths Functional Skills Looking to improve your Maths confidence and skills? Why not join our Maths Functional Skills course starting on 10th October. Functional Skills are ideal if you wish to get ahead and up skill for progression in the workplace or prior to enrolling onto a higher level programme. The course is delivered over 12 weeks and two hours of teaching per week and is non-residential. The course takes place every Wednesday at 10-12pm from 10th October for 12 weeks. What will you learn? You will learn the skills needed to take the full functional skills exam in numeracy and /or You will learn the skills needed to take the full functional skill exam in literacy, this includes both a written exam and speaking and listening assessment, you need to pass both Who is this course aimed at? These courses are aimed at anyone who needs to complete / obtain a level 2 qualification in Numeracy and / or Literacy in order to progress into higher education or employment. What are the entry requirements? (If applicable) There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you will need to sit an initial assessment to show that you are working at this level. How is it taught? This course is taught by one of several experienced tutors who will guide you through the learning in a supportive and encouraging way. The courses are very interactive, giving the basic information which can be further developed at home. How will you be assessed? Through the full functional skills City & Guilds assessment. What will you achieve? Full level 2 in either Numeracy and / or Literacy. What can you do after this? Progress into employment and / or further study which requires a level 2 qualification in either Numeracy or Literacy. When does it run? For 12, 2 hour a week sessions; all which must be attended.
