This course aims to help you better understand the term ‘mental health’ and recognise methods for treating/managing mental illness and its effects. It also looks at the role played by care workers and agencies in supporting those affected by mental health issues. accommodation, acceptance and equality for diverse groups.

  • Explore the methods for managing mental illness 
  • Explore management techniques when dealing with aggression 
  • Learn about the role of communication in a mental health context
  • Learn about the role of statutory and voluntary care agencies providing care services for people who are mentally ill
