We realise that things are tough for our students at the moment tough for everyone. We have developed this document to give information about some of the services available out there that might be helpful.

This document includes a list of charities both nationally and locally who are providing a range of services to support individuals during this time. This includes food banks in the Birmingham area, mental health charities and domestic violence helplines

We have also included the most recent Lockdown rules issued by the government as of Wednesday 6th June 2020.

Staying Safe During Lockdown Document

Always remember to still stay at least 2 metres apart from anyone who is not in your household at all times.

Here’s a reminder of some of the additional rules from June 2020, if you are NOT in the “extremely vulnerable” or “vulnerable” category:

You can now leave the house to:

  •  Spend time outdoors–for examples sitting and enjoying the fresh air, having picnics or sunbathing
  • Meet up to 6 other people from other households outdoors only (keep 2 metres apart)
  • Exercise outside as many times as you wish
  • Use outdoor sports facilities such as tennis courts, golf courses, basketball courts, with members of your household or one other person
  • Go to a garden centre
  • Go to work if you can’t work from home but try to avoid public transport
  • Households who contain one adult or one adult and children can form a 'Support Bubble' with any other household. This second household can contain any number of people. Once you have formed a bubble you can't create another bubble with other households.
