Curriculum Manager
Scale 8, currently £42,370 to £46,299 per annum

We are looking to appoint a Curriculum Manager. As our Curriculum Manager, you’ll lead the
planning, delivery, and development of our college’s curriculum and enrichment offer. You’ll also line
manage teaching, support, and welfare staff to drive outstanding learner outcomes and play a key
role in the college’s wider leadership.
To be considered for this role you must have appropriate degree or equivalent industry experience
and a recognised level 4 teaching qualification. You’ll also bring a leadership and management
qualification (or equivalent experience) and a passion for adult learning with a social purpose. The
successful candidate will have first class communication skills and good knowledge of regional skills
needs and employer engagement in curriculum planning.

who is self-managed with a strong work ethic, who has a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude and
is a completer / finisher.

We are looking to appoint a Partnership Officer to maximise student recruitment through new and existing partnerships, lead on events, systems and processes and contribute to the work of the Admissions Team.
To be considered for this role you must have experience of initiating contact with organisations and dealing with clients and staff at different levels, able to organise successful internal events and attend external events across the region and have strong digital skills including databases, spreadsheets, virtual meetings and social media.

Associate Governor – Estates

We are looking for an Associate Governor. If you don’t have the time to commit to a full Governor role at the college, but you have the skills and expertise and would like to contribute to the future of Fircroft, you might be interested in being an Associate Governor. For this role we are looking for someone who has the following knowledge and experience:
- Experience of leading small/medium capital projects
- Experience of support services such as estates, facilities, catering
- Knowledge of planning and building regulations
- Knowledge of health and safety and incident management.
You will be liaising with the Assistant Principal, Business Support and Development, who leads on our estates and sustainability projects and who would value your input. You would not need to attend Governing Body meetings but we would appreciate your occasional presence at our Operations Committee meetings.

Generic Governor Vacancies
Exceptional opportunity to Join the Governing Body of Fircroft College of Adult Education, Selly Oak, Birmingham.
We have three vacancies on our Governing Body and are looking to fill these with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience with a strong commitment to social and climate/environmental justice and adult education. Previous experience as a Charity Trustee or Further Education governor is helpful but not essential.
We are particularly interested in strengthening our Board in the following areas:
- Financial and audit related skills
- Further and adult education policy and funding arrangements
- Income generation and fundraising
- Local and regional employer skills needs/links
- Charity law and trustee duties (including experience in companies limited by guarantee)
- Safeguarding.
Applicants with skills in at least one/some or all of the areas listed above are encouraged to apply.
Good oral communication skills and the ability to think and plan strategically, monitor performance and outcomes, and interpret different forms of information, including reports and data, are all necessary. All Governors are expected to share a commitment to safeguarding adults.
