We recommend you apply for our Digital Functional Skills courses if you do not already have these qualifications as they are useful certificates to have for work and volunteering, as well as enhancing your digital skills

Monday 9th – Wednesday 11th February (3 days and 2 nights)
Now, more than ever, products and services have moved online and it seems to be increasingly difficult to access them. This qualification will give you an understanding and awareness of the essential digital skills you need for every day life and it will give you an awareness of how to engage with those essential digital services and products that are often sold online only. You will also be introduced to a range of websites and given the knowledge of how to engage with them confidently and safely.
You will cover the following digital skills:
- Being safe and responsible online and on digital devices
- Using digital devices and handling information
- Creating and editing
- Digital communication
- Communicating with people digitally
By the end of the course, you will have a good understanding of essential digital skills which will improve your efficiency and productivity.
The course will also focus on the study of digital skills and will:
- Offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge and skills
- Provide opportunities to acquire a number of essential digital skills to build digital skills for everyday life and build digital skills for work

You must have basic computer skills to benefit from this course.
We will invite you to an Assessment Day to find out what level of digital skills you working at, and to ensure you are at the right level for this course, or one of our higher level courses.
