Are you ready to step out of the shadows and make your voice heard? The “Stand Up and Be Counted: Unleashing Your Inner Confidence” course is designed to help you build self-confidence and empower you to express yourself effectively in society. Over three immersive days, you will explore the key principles of assertiveness, discover your unique voice, and enhance your self-worth. Through a combination of interactive exercises, case studies, and insightful discussions, this course will equip you with the skills and mindset necessary to navigate various social situations confidently.

On this course we will cover:

  • Introduction to assertiveness: Understanding the differences between assertive, aggressive, and passive communication styles.
  • Building self-awareness: Identifying personal strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in assertiveness.
  • Setting boundaries: Recognising the importance of personal boundaries and practicing assertive boundary-setting strategies.
  • Overcoming self-doubt and imposter syndrome: Strategies for challenging negative self-talk and embracing your unique strengths and abilities..
  • Cultivating self-compassion: Embracing self-acceptance, nurturing positive self-talk, and developing a healthy self-image.
  • Overcoming criticism and rejection: Strategies for handling criticism constructively, managing rejection, and bouncing back stronger

All learners enrolling on 2026/27 courses will use laptops, tablets and other digital technology as part of their learning

Entry Requirements

You must be working at Entry-Level 3 Literacy, or above1
