Welcome to Fircroft College of Adult Education
Fircroft College of Adult Education aims to help you learn new skills and achieve your goals in a friendly and supportive environment.
Fircroft is a residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. Being in residence means you can ‘get away from it all’ and focus on learning and achieving, away from everyday home and work pressures. Fircroft is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and has been awarded Beacon Status in recognition of its academic excellence.
Courses enrol throughout the year, most last just a few days and many are FREE for eligible learners. To find out more about how we could help you, please contact us.

Progression Pathway Courses
are aimed at learners with few or no formal qualifications. These short courses provide a ‘second chance’ for adults looking to return to learning, improve their confidence and reach their true potential.
Professional Courses for the Voluntary Sector
support voluntary and community organisations to work effectively and fulfil their purpose and mission, helping staff, volunteers and trustees to develop their skills and expertise in specialist areas.
Access to Higher Education
is a full-time 30 week programme for students who wish to go to University, but who do not have the qualifications to do so.
