Fircroft College offers a unique experience
where students live and learn in an attractive
and supportive environment.
Founded in 1909, Fircroft occupies one of the
Cadbury family homes set in six acres of beautiful
grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. It is officially
an ‘outstanding college’, having received straight
grade 1’s in its last
Ofsted Inspection Report at the
end of 2007. In 2008 Fircroft was awarded Learning
and Skills
Beacon Status,
in recognition of its academic excellence.
You can choose from over 150 different
residential short courses
running throughout the year, covering
everything from literacy, numeracy and IT skills, to
personal and professional development. Being a
resident allows you to ‘get away from it all', so
you can focus on achieving your goals and work
closely with your tutors and fellow students. |

A full-time
Access to HE programme is available for
students who wish to go to University but who do not
have the qualifications to do so. We also provide tailored
short courses for community groups and voluntary
sector workers.
Most of Fircroft
College's courses in Birmingham, both Access and
residential short courses, are free to eligible
students.
