This weekend is for ex-students of the Mother Gardens bootcamp, and our Green Skills courses, as well as for active community gardeners from the wider Mother gardens and Birmingham food networks. It will be a chance for participants to give input into the shape of the future full programme of Cross-pollinator training to be held in the summer of 2025. A cross-pollinator is a role within the Mother Gardens network, for someone that helps create new projects, new networks, and who connects to and supports community groups across an area, with the goal of developing community resilience and sustainability.

This course will help you to:

  • Understand the purpose and value of the Cross Pollinator role
  • Develop an understanding of how the cross-pollinator role links to resilience and sustainability
  • Develop awareness and understanding of the value of the cross-pollinator role in how it can support local communities and projects
  • Deepen awareness and practical applications of using the Mother Garden model and related tools for addressing social and environmental problems
