Forest Gardens and Outdoor Wellness

A family-friendly introduction to the wonderful world of forest gardens.

Learn about the different layers that make up a forest garden and discover how plants, wildlife and people can work together as part of a thriving ecosystem.

During these hands-on sessions, you will explore how forest gardens support nature, biodiversity and wellbeing. You will have the opportunity to help tend a forest garden, plant new species and learn how sustainable food-growing systems can benefit wildlife and our own health.

These relaxed outdoor sessions are suitable for beginners and offer a great opportunity for families, individuals and nature lovers to connect with nature, learn new skills and spend time outdoors together.

Access and additional information

Our workshops are free to attend and are family-friendly, suitable for adults and children.

All workshops take place outdoors around different green spaces. Paths may be uneven, grassy or muddy in places, so please wear suitable footwear.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a water bottle and snacks if needed.

For the Foraging and Wellbeing in Nature workshop, tastings will be available. Participants with allergies should take appropriate precautions and contact us with any questions.
