This course is for beginners, to help them to become more confident and familiar with using technology for everyday life. It is not for people wanting to learn how to use specific software or packages. It is ideal if you have little, or no, knowledge about IT.
On this course you will learn how to use a smartphone/tablet to do everyday activities, browse the Internet, send emails, purchase things online, pay bills, download apps, create passwords, stay safe online, use social media, conduct video calls, update systems and software and you will learn some of the device-specific language
The course will particularly teach you how to use your device to do everyday activities, how to stay safe online and will increase your confidence in using digital technology.
You will need to bring your own device(s) to college such as a Smartphone and/or laptop.
Entry Requirements
You must be working at Entry-Level 3 English, or above
Certificate
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Fircroft College of Adult Education certificate.
