At the college

11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Because we are a residential college, we accept applications for our Access to HE Diplomas from anywhere in England, not just the Midlands. Once you have registered to attend an Open Day we will keep you updated with more details nearer the time and we will send you information so that you can join us on the day.

Our Open Days for Access to Higher Education and Pre-Access to Higher Education, are a great opportunity to find out more about our courses. Staff will be online to tell you more about the Fircroft learning experience, talk about finance, accommodation and the support we offer and you will be able to ask questions.  You will have the opportunity to speak to our tutors on a one-to-one basis and undertake assessments to identify what level you are at currently with your learning. You will also be able to discuss any extra support you feel you might need during your learning journey at Fircroft College. The college is able to offer many different types of support to students.

The Open Day will be at the college premises (depending on government guidelines at the time).  The Open Day will include:

  • An introduction to the Access and Pre-Access to HE courses at Fircroft College
  • Speaking to course tutors about course content, residential options, funding information and progression opportunities
  • A tour of the college
  • An initial assessment if you want to progress
  • Completing an application form
