Hourly Paid Maths Tutor
Salary: Scale 6-7, currently £33,476 to £37,659 per annum, pro rata – £23.18 to £26.07 for teaching rate;
£17.17 to £19.31 non-teaching rate

We are looking to appoint a Maths Tutor. The post holder will be required to plan and deliver the college’s Maths provision across a range of levels. You’ll contribute to the development of our curriculum and will collaborate with staff across the college to ensure an excellent learner experience from initial assessment through to progression.
To be considered for this role you must have an appropriate degree or professional qualification in Maths and a recognised teaching qualification. It is desirable that you have an awareness of Functional Skills strategies and qualifications. The successful candidate will have effective communication, administrative and IT skills.
The right person will be someone who enjoys working at a fast pace with a variety of different tasks,
who is self-managed with a strong work ethic, who has a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude and
is a completer / finisher

Associate Governor – Estates
We are looking for an Associate Governor. If you don’t have the time to commit to a full Governor role at the college, but you have the skills and expertise and would like to contribute to the future of Fircroft, you might be interested in being an Associate Governor. For this role we are looking for someone who has the following knowledge and experience:
- Experience of leading small/medium capital projects
- Experience of support services such as estates, facilities, catering
- Knowledge of planning and building regulations
- Knowledge of health and safety and incident management.
You will be liaising with the Assistant Principal, Business Support and Development, who leads on our estates and sustainability projects and who would value your input. You would not need to attend Governing Body meetings but we would appreciate your occasional presence at our Operations Committee meetings.
