Learners on Fircroft College’s Skills for Aspiring Support Workers course had the chance to meet employers and organisations at our November 2025 Partner Day, an opportunity designed to help them explore their next steps into work, training or volunteering.
Many learners on this course are aiming for roles where they can support others, so hearing directly from sector specialists was a valuable way to understand the options available.
Embark Learning
Embark Learning introduced their three‑week training programme, which learners can progress onto after leaving Fircroft. The programme prepares people for roles in the healthcare sector and guarantees an interview on completion, giving learners a clear and practical route into employment.
Cranstoun
Cranstoun spoke about new volunteering opportunities supporting people at risk of homelessness or those who have experienced domestic abuse. Their session helped learners understand how volunteering can build experience while making a meaningful contribution.
The National Careers Service (NCS)
For learners still deciding on their direction, NCS provided an overview of different roles in healthcare and offered one‑to‑one guidance sessions after the course for anyone wanting more personalised advice.
The day gave learners a clearer sense of the pathways open to them and highlighted the range of opportunities available after completing the course. It was a positive and practical way to round off their learning and look ahead to what comes next.
We have another Skills for Aspiring Support Workers course, with more professional organisations attending, starting Wednesday 13th May 2026. Why not take at the link, and apply?
